FAQ 

Q. How can I find a specific post?

A. Everything is tagged. After my URL, type “/tagged/” and then whatever you’re looking for, using + marks as spaces. For example, if you’re looking for posts involving he Weeping angels, you’d type “youknowyourewhovianwhen.tumblr.com/tagged/weeping+angels”.

Q. How do I submit?

A. I get this question a lot, or something along the lines of “I don’t know how to do it/am I doing it right?” Weeeeeellll all you have to do is either click “Contribute” over there on my sidebar. Leave your URL if you want, otherwise you’ll just be credited in the tags. Say “anonymous please” if you want to be anon. PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT THROUGH AN ASK. It makes it difficult for me to sift through and find actual questions/comments between all the submissions. And please also do a quick search before submitting something, I get a lot of repeats. 

Q. What do I submit?

A. Anything! Your favorite quotes from the show, things the fandom has made popular, common opinions generally shared amongst fans, anything that says “Only a Whovian would do/say/think this”. I also have a section for interesting fact-bits about the show, so feel free to submit fun facts as well. Please don’t submit anything that will put down any group of fans, such as “You think Season X was stupid” or “Nine was your first Doctor / Eleven wasn’t your first Doctor”. 

Q. Why can’t I submit?

I will temporarily turn off submissions if I need to catch up. This is another reason I do not want people to submit through asks- I still want to be able to receive questions and feedback, so I can’t turn asks off.

Q. Do I have to make the image?

A. No! you just tell me what you want and I make it happen. It’s like magic.

Q. What do you use to make the images?

A. Witchcraft! Actually I use GIMP. It’s simple enough to whip out a bunch of submissions. I just created a template so it’s really easy, in all honesty the most difficult thing is trying to choose exactly the right color that I want to use. I’m picky!

Q. How come you changed what I wrote?

A. Probably because it was too long, or it just didn’t flow well. I also change some pretty drastically, because if you send something too simple or rough but I still love the idea, then I’ll draw on it for inspiration and create a new one. You’re still credited, though! 

Q. Hey! You credited my submission to the wrong person!

A. I always try to credit the first person who sends one in if I get multiple people sending in the same thing. Someone probably got to my askbox before you, or possibly worded it better. I’m lazy, I’ll usually choose whichever one is easiest to make.

Q. Why isn’t my submission up yet? I’ve been waiting.

A. It’s because I’m lazy. Actually, a lot of the time, I’ll push one off for a while before making it because it’s similar to one I’ve done recently (for example, I don’t want to post a bunch of things about the TARDIS all at once. Variety is key my friend!)

Or, it’s because your submission was a repeat and has already been done, or is just not one that I’m interested in doing. Or really, because I’m lazy. I have a habit of abandoning my blogs unexpectedly. I’m not even sorry.

I also, as I said earlier, won’t post things that aren’t very popular opinions or that put anyone down, because I feel it’s rude to everyone else. For example, I won’t do “You watched Doctor Who before Matt Smith became the Doctor!” and stuff like that, because it insinuates that “I was here first/before it was cool” kind of superiority that drives me nuts. 

Q. Your URL isn’t proper grammar! 

A. Neither is lolkittyrosebones82 but you know, that’s totally fine.

The grammatically correct URL was taken when I made the blog, by someone who wasn’t using it. 

Also, you’re debating proper use of a word that is made up. Why?

A. Nine/Rose/it changes a lot but The Silence and Weeping Angels always give me the creeps.
